These are the next steps to take to help with a smooth treatment journey
Important lab tests
A doctor will schedule lab tests to determine if you or your loved one are eligible for ITVISMA. Ask the doctor about getting these tests.
Before starting treatment, ensure that you know your vaccination status and that it is up-to-date.
Doctor submits the Novartis Patient SupportTM Start Form
Ask the doctor to submit a Novartis Patient Support Start Form. The Start Form will enroll you or your loved one in Novartis Patient Support, which provides additional support before, during, and after treatment.
Working with your insurance
The Novartis Patient Support team can help with completing a benefit verification, inclusive of identifying if a prior authorization is required, and if you or your loved one has nonemergency travel support benefits.
Preparing for treatment day
To help ensure the day goes smoothly, be sure to confirm travel and location logistics, confirm all lab work has been completed, watch for any signs of new or ongoing infection, and take the corticosteroid dose a day before injection as directed by the doctor.

Moving forward after treatment
You and your doctor need to schedule follow-up appointments over the next few weeks for follow-up lab work. Monitoring is needed for at least 3 months.
If requested on the Start Form, your dedicated Novartis Patient Support Case Coordinator will reach out through a series of phone calls to help meet your long-term goals by providing helpful tips and reminders tailored to your needs.
